Tretower Castle

With Mrs BB working today, I enjoyed a lay-in and with the weather being sunny I decided to do an aerial photograph of Tretower Castle near Crickhowell, Powys (Mid-Wales). It's one I've been meaning to do for a while.

It was built on the site of an 11th century motte and bailey (mound with wooden tower) with the current stone tower being of 13th and 14th century constructions.

The photographs in the link are taken by a friend and former work colleague. The castle is under the care of Cadw who care for Welsh Monuments.
