Cross

Continuing the #catsofalmunecar series ... a very cross kitten determined to warn off other cats. I have added to the alley cat album -- I was particularly impressed to discover that the elegant ginger tom has amazing blue eyes. Crossed with a Siamese no doubt. Click right from here to see today's adorable kitty photos.

See also in extras, amazing flowers on a tree. Can anyone ID them? They are quite spectacular. Edit: it's an African tulip tree, spathodea campanulata.

S was out on a walk which was spectacular too, and happily the advertised bad weather did not arrive,. I occupied myself reading, blipping, baking bread, and making tapas for "dinner": a Catalan version of guacamole featuring anchovies, garlic, lemon, and sherry vinegar (from The New Spanish Table again, can't go wrong with that book) and old favourite habas con jamón -- no recipe needed for this, just invent your own combination of crisply fried serrano ham, blanched broad beans, shallot or onion, olive oil, and herbs.

Now we're going to watch a film on Spanish streaming service Filmin, recently discovered. It has a great range of films, all in the original language subtitled in Spanish.
