Roses

Had intended to blip the arrival of Father Christmas in Wooler this afternoon..

But on a day when the temperature never rose above freezing, I spent a good while in the cold this morning wandering round the Farmers' Market with MrM, followed by 30mins with the Cheviot Singers singing carols to the assembled very small throng at the market. Out again this afternoon with Kate, canvassing for a couple of hours. I'd just about started to thaw out when Father Christmas's sleigh was due to 'fly' down the High Street, and by then lacked the enthusiasm to put on my outdoor clothes and venture out into the cold yet again...

Couldn't resist buying these brightly coloured roses yesterday. The yellow ones have a wonderful scent.
