Back Blip…

………………..Isle of Skye

A Back Blip, uploaded 2nd December for 13th May.

Trotternish Peninsula on the Isle of Skye was the tour’s target area today.

We spent time at the Museum of Island Life with its thatched buildings set in a village formation showing all aspects of village life. While here we bought the most amazing shortbread which literally melted in the mouth - possibly homemade and how I wished I’d bought several packets!
The clifftop views of Creag au Fheilidh (Kilt Rocks) was fascinating and our time visiting Portree, the island capital was most enjoyable.
During the drive back to Broadford we were shadowed by the spectacular Cuillin Hills.

The main photo is a small stone wharf at Broadford.

Extra photo collage
- Thatched roof cottage at the Museum of Life. The rocks on the roof were intriguing.
- Kilt Rocks
- Portree
- Cuillin Hills (I think)
- Eilean Donan Castle
