Views as far as you can see......

We decided to venture out a bit further afield today. What a good decision. We aimed for a walk along the ridge above Castleton in Derbyshire from Rushup Edge. We dropped down into Castleton from Losehill, where we had coffee and cake. Our return trip took us back past Speedwell Cavern, Treakcliffe Cavern and Peak Cavern.

The weather was stunning. Frosty and sunny!! The main image is of sunrise looking towards Chrome Hill from the A53 between Leek and Buxton enroute to the start of the walk. We just had to stop just to catch that. And that's where another car stopped too. It was actually a friend of ours, also on her way out for a walk. She'd recognised our car. And ended up joining us for the day.
