Sunrise!

This is about the only time in the year when I can comfortably capture a sunrise. For someone who likes landscape photography, I'm a real sleepyhead first thing in the morning. But it really wasn't that much of an effort to get up at 6am and be here to see the sunrise at 7.45am! It does help when you don't live that far away.

I saw the weather forecast yesterday, and was determined to make the effort to get out and about and enjoy the cold sunny morning that was on offer. I was joined by my other half and we had a great walk up over the top of The Roaches, along to Roach End and down into Lud's Church and back again.

There were a few other folks out experiencing the sunrise, including a couple of photographers, but it was great to have much of the ridge to ourselves.

The first extra is looking towards the right on the ridge over the Cheshire plain and Bosley Cloud. The second is taken as you approach Roach End, again looking over the Cheshire Plain.
