It turned out that the guy who'd taken loads of old Freegle-wood from our shed was a handyman. And that he'd recently moved to the area from Cumbria and was still building up his client list. So yes, he could spend a day with us patching up the gutter leaks, doing a bit of repointing, fixing the odd slipped slate, replacing a couple of rotten treads on the steps up to the stable and re-waterproofing the shower. Brilliant. One day and all the jobs I didn't feel able to do were done.
