One week on

My sister gave me these lovely flowers when she came to stay last week.  They smell delicious and have a lot more to give.  

Damp and cold day today and the first day of buiders messing about in the house next door.  Today was the first day we had a mini digger squeezing down the only access to the house ... a narrow alley about three foot wide between our houses... the problem was the 90 turn to get through the gate but having removed the gate on its post they managed it without knocking down our wall (which is old and a bit saggy).  I made sure they knew l was concerned (and on site) and they promised they would not do any damage.
