Newton Abbot Library, Devon

The library was opened in 1904, and was also the science and technical school. John Passmore Edwards paid for most of it, and the building was erected in memory of his mother. The architect was Silvanus Trevail, who also designed the Carbis Bay Hotel where we have just had a brief stay. Looking magnificent in the December sunshine.
