WITH A SONG IN MY HEART

The Canal Wild

It was a wild and stormy night.
After our Christmas night out I was thankfully tucked up in our cosy bed, listening to the wind howling and the rain battering on the roof.

We had a drip from the skylight so Frank
had to get up and rig up a folded towel under the frame with some string until morning when he would cover it from the outside.
Fixing it properly is the next big job when the weather allows.

As I lay there in our safe haven I was thinking about all those trying to shelter in shop doorways up and down the country.
What a miserable time for them.
When you walk past someone living rough give them a smile, say hello, give them a quid. Let them know we do care.
I hope that soon we'll have a government that care too ;-)
