Come on Morrisons, you must be joking!!

As most of you will now know I’m a big fan of yellow label items in supermarkets whereby good food that is at or near its sell/use by date is sold at a discount. This scheme is environmentally friendly preventing good food being dumped in landfill and allows shoppers the opportunity to buy and try foods they would not generally purchase. Good discounts can generally be had with Sainsbury’s, Lidl and Aldi’s generally offering50% or more off. Afraid to say that other supermarket chains are not so generous. Morrison’s is a prime example . Today’s Blipfoto shows a range of their yellow label offers in their Stirling store. They are only playing lip service to this scheme with minimal discounts being offered. Indeed, some of the produce on offer is more expensive than new stock with a sell by date 10 days hence when bought as a multi buy offer. Come on Morrisons, you can to better than this!
