I was mistaken yesterday thinking that I had turned the corner of my cough and cold. I suffered another largely sleepless night, struggled through the morning (I managed to make some soup with stock from last night's supper), then retired to my sickbed again this afternoon. 

I am really disappointed to be missing my book group's get-together at Melissa's house this evening. I have also cancelled seeing Kate tomorrow for fear of infecting her while she in undergoing cancer treatment.

I photographed this holly bush when I popped out to the corner shop this morning to buy some cream for my soup (and a Mars bar for naughty Mummy hazelh).
