Raj in a Pickle

Whew! What a day. The book dealers have been here all day sorting, cataloguing and removing cartons of books. More cartons of books are piled high waiting to go. And there's still an awful lot more to do.

I sold my Canon 60D camera body on eBay, and late this afternoon we went down town to deliver it - bloke didn't answer his door bell - sent him an email - waited another 10 minutes - left. Half way home got an email back saying his doorbell was out of order. Went back to his house - delivered camera - got cash in return (yay!).

The plan was to call in at the creek to see if I could see a parking spot for male blue banded bees. It was rather too late to see anything much, and the light was falling quite quickly. The Rower called me up the track saying he had seen a couple of monarchs. I photographed one of them - poor thing, it was way past its best, with a torn wing, and a very thin body. But that was to be my blip, on account of I had nothing else.

Went to the Pub for a late meal and really quite late home. Then, the Rower couldn't find Raj, and that's the signal for a top to bottom house search. Luckily I started at the top, and there was Mr. Raj, stuck on the very top shelf of the library, unable to get down. Well, you have never seen anything so funny in all your life. The top shelf would have to be a good 12 feet from the ground, and although he had boxes to jump down onto, he just couldn't pluck up the courage to do it.

In the end we got the ladder out, and rescued him.
