Sunrise over the Golden Valley

I had to get up early for the regular Thursday market in Minchinhampton, but this morning's special sky, which apparently was seen widely across southern England, made the morning rather special.

The mists that I recorded yesterday are just observable swirling in the valley bottom and along the slopes of the Golden Valley. You can probably see the features from yesterday in this wider shot as well.

Minchinhampton is directly ahead on the top of the common in the far distance. By the time I reached there the sky was becoming blue and very pretty in its own way, although the mists had turned to foggy patches in odd places.
