An ordinary life....

They were right...

It did snow.

Today's blip was taken going through Glendevon. Weirdly the Gleneagles end was clear with no snow but the Stirlingshire end was thick with the stuff.

Marion came up to spend the afternoon with Alan. David and I headed out for lunch and a chance to discuss the coming week, particularly Thursday when we are interviewing for an additional carer to help out with Alan.

As he's getting older we are very conscious of the fact that he needs to be out and about and doing stuff without his mum or dad in tow. It's also with an eye to the future where, at some point we will be fully reliant on others to take care of him but that's (hopefully) a long way off.

Whilst part of me is really excited at the prospect of Alan starting to be less dependent on us (for all our sakes) it's really hard to let go. It's also difficult to imagine other people having access to our home. Interesting times ahead.

After lunch we headed to Sterling and found a little table to sit in the hall with a lamp on it, which came with a matching storage cabinet that can sit opposite the piano with all David's music books in it. Result! :-))

Home in time for tea and to get the school stuff sorted and shirts ironed. Monday comes around all too soon!
