David took Alan for a well overdue haircut. His Gary Barlow had grown into a Harry Styles!

I spent the afternoon preparing food for tonight's visitors (sweet potato and chilli soup, chicken & chorizo pasta. The New York Cheesecake came courtesy of M&S)

Had a great night with Scott and Angela and their daughter Beth. Not seen them for ages. Beth was only 10 when we first met her. Scott and Angela were volunteer Shared Carers for Alan (through North Lanarkshire Council) and before we moved house, used to take him out one Saturday a month. What a god send they were. Now we're no longer under North Lanarkshire we no longer have them as official shared carers but we do have them as friends and that's even better. :)

Beth is now 19 and in her 2nd year at uni studying engineering. She's gone from being a fine young girl into a fine young woman in the blink of an eye.

A very late night but worth it.
