Go West

Waking the weather was terrible, sideways rain and cloud base level with the windows.
But, always a but if you look hard enough.. The forecast showed changing weather heading from the West. Yes flurries of snow and possibly even thunder and lightning but crucially there'd be moments of clarity. Sometimes that's enough.

We headed to Rhyd Ddu and then steeply up Y Garn. Once we hit the summit and came into the wind there was a huge drop in temperature but we grabbed a bite to eat added some layers and then headed upward on the exhilarating little Scramble onto Mynydd Drws-y-coed.
At the Col before Trum y Ddysgl we were treated to a spectacular light show towards the coast (which hopefully fair weather girl caught on her little camera)
Fighting fading light we took a descending traverse down the slopes of the hill back to the van.
Against all the odds a fabulous day out.
