Southend Pier

After an overnight stay in Southend-on-Sea, we went for a walk this morning - venturing along the one-and-a-third mile long pier on foot.  The weather was much brighter and drier than yesterday - indeed the sun came out this afternoon and the sky was much clearer - but there was still a very strong, cold wind. It was invigorating, but we were quite happy to get back to the car for the drive home.
