This afternoon New Zealand has been saddened with the news , Sir Peter Snell, Olympic Champion has passed away aged 80 at his home in Dallas Texas. Peter was an Icon for Athletics and was coached by the greatest Coach in the World Arthur Lydiard also of New Zealand. A very Humble Person, Peter wrote a book about his life as an Athlete and while on an Aeroplane to the USA, he was talking to a woman passenger about it as he could not come up with a title, she asked has it got any Bugles or Drums in it and Peter responded no, so she said why don't you call it No Bugles and No Drums hence the name of his book.
