My mother and I went to the wetland centre; it was v. cold so we whizzed around trying not to get too frozen... I'd intended to blip the maned ducks this time, but again didn't get very satisfying shots, and actually was torn between my blip pic, and pictures of a plumed whistling duck in a puddle, a red shoveler doing Pilates, and a pair of wood pigeons courting.

There has been a reshuffle going on at the Wetlands Centre, with Philippine ducks and maned ducks appearing recently, and several individuals disappearing. The white-winged ducks and black spur-winged geese all seem to have been moved elsewhere, but these southern screamers have suddenly reappeared after being absent since 2016...
