Fact or Fiction

I have not been able to think of any positive features to having an election in December, as opposed to May when they are usually scheduled.

I may have found one, however. We were able to combine the Office's December social with a victory celebration. In my case this meant a glass of wine with my burger on top of a gallon or two of soda water with orange juice.

The festivities began mid-afternoon in The Oxford, made famous in the Rebus detective novels by Ian Rankin. I love it. It is traditional but only 2 minutes from the pretentious and over-priced. It has no TV. Can you imagine? A pub without a TV.

A good, honest boozer.

Dinner was in a pretentious and over-priced place, but the food was excellent.
