Results

I got out of bed about 3am as the election results started to be announced. 

To everyone’s amazement, our candidate won! 

I will spare the details, but his guts and determination have earned him a lot of respect. Going forward, for the Office it is a huge advantage for the local MP to be on the same side. 

As for the rest of Scotland, the party had a fantastic election. It had a few disappointments, but also a couple of unexpected wins. 48 seats out of 59, with a gain of 13 seats, winning 7 seats from the Tories to leave them with just 6.

The result was achieved in spite of the totally hostile and biased media. 

In England and Wales… well… words fail me. 

Northern Ireland has “done a Scotland”, with a majority of MPs being in favour of reunification for the first time since partition.
