The aluminium tree.

Almost missed getting an image today but after a last look around the Magnum exhibition at Compton Verney I took a look at a new piece they have in the park, a tree cast mostly in aluminium with shards of glass caught in the branches.

More to follow when I can retrieve the info sheet!

Edit - the sculpture is by Ariel Schlesinger and is called Ways to Say Goodbye.  More info here on Compton Verney's web site.  The installation was delayed when an old burial site was uncovered by the work for the foundations. So it has only been in place since 20th October.

Sadly - the gallery and grounds are now closed for the winter so I won't  be able to go back and blip it in better light until mid-March.
