Soup, Supper, and The Messiah

After a brief walk and some snow/slush clearing in the rain I headed back towards the house, looking forward to some warm soup. The soup was actually cancelled because we got an invite to Ruth and family for dinner, before Handel's Messiah at the Cathedral.
The Messiah was wonderful, orchestra, choir, conductor and soloists all performed really well (extra) and you can read more about it in Jan's blip.

The soup turned into supper with Karin, and then some late night baking as the first loaf was inconveniently ready to bake at half-past-midnight. Really the other two loaves were ready too, but tiredness took over about 1:30 a.m. and I left them out in the cold, to bake the next morning, which turned out fine.

Even with the dreariest weather the day can turn out to be a good one!
