The hole in the wall

Surprised when I walked in to the hall mid-way through the morning to discover that, as well as taking up the floor boards again, MrM had also knocked a big hole in the wall! Pleased to report that the boards are back down again, but the hole will remain for a while until we work to exactly what to do with it! Suspect that the bottom half will be turned in to a cupboard, and the top half an alcove.

While MrM was busy with that, I ticked quite a few items off the 'to do' list - a couple of hours working in the 'yard, some cards written, paperwork done, fruit for the cake soaking in alcohol. Then a well-earned glass of red whilst watching the penultimate episode of 'His Dark Materials'.
