Aufzug

Ein Aufzug is a lift or elevator. This is the one I take to get to my office on the 5th floor. As someone who isn't fond of edges with a lot of down after them, this was a bit of a trial at first. But now, I can quite happily stand next to it, look out and wish that the weather was a bit better than grey.

My wish was partially fulfilled, in that it snowed for most of today. It snowed on me all the way home, and I quite enjoyed it.

It's a later than normal Blip because we were off to the pictures for the OV* Life Of Pi: Schiffbruch mit Tiger (that's "shipwreck with tiger") . It was the first film that I've seen in 3D.

I enjoyed the film a lot (not least because Irrfan Khan is in it and I think he's a hugely underrated actor). The 3D works to an extent but it is far from flawless. There are quite a lot of really good jokes in the first half too. A really good couple of hours in the cinema.

*OV - Originell Version, which means it's not dubbed. I much prefer my films in OV.
