Reminders.

First of the date for my annual Edinburgh  dinner with fellow blipper Peter May.

Second of how a fantastic new book shop can transform a street and renew the pleasure not just of reading but of browsing and buying the most eclectic range of books , rather than just reading on screen. 

Fortunately it is at the end of the street in Edinburgh where I rent my flat  , is open till 8.30 pm and was serving mulled wine and mince pies tonight.   

And I wasn’t away electioneering.....
