Life through the lens...

Christmas Tradition.

So sad it is now over for another year.
We always look forward to the Lord Mayor’s Carol Concert at Leeds Town Hall.
Once again the Rothwell Temperance Band, and the Leeds Philharmonic Chorus entertained us to a wonderful evening.
We all joined in and sang the carols, including
“ While shepherds watched their flocks by night” to the tune of “ Ilkley Moor Baht At”.
That was a new one to me, but greatly enjoyed by us all.
The Band had us laughing when they played their Christmas version of “ I wanna be like you” from Jungle Book.
It was lovely to see so many young families.
I noticed that one family we sat near last year, and brought me to tears when the little girl joined in and started singing Away in a Manger with the choir.
This year they were sat together again, but there was an addition to the family. Mum was holding a very tiny baby. What a joy to see them all together enjoying the Christmas Concert.
We will certainly be there again next year.
