Cadiz!

... in the rain. R and A arrived to spend Christmas in Almuñecar and look after Mystère even though I'd promised they'd never have to look after him again after last time. We all went for lunch at La Corregidora, and then we left them to stroll home while we set off to Cadiz. A fatal misunderstanding of directions in Algeciras meant we didn't get here till nearly 9 pm, shattered after a 4-hour drive the last part of which was in the dark on the hilly, wiggly N340 via Tarifa and Vejer de la Frontera.

Our host welcomed us to his wonderfully traditional Cádiz patio house (will be blipped in daylight) and we more or less dumped our luggage and headed to his recommended local bar for wine and fried fish. Bedtime now. I might add an extra if I can persuade the tablet to do it.

Unfortunately the forecast for the next three days is unmitigated rain, but we'll do our best to enjoy Cádiz.
