Great Idea!

One of the many great tips i've gotten from this video series is seen here..... how to keep acrylic paint from totally drying out between painting sessions!  It is one of the things about acrylic that i always found difficult, so here is what you do:

A largish tray (i got this at the Dollar Store) lay down 2-3 layers of that heavy duty blue paper towel (more absorbent than regular paper towel), pour water over it, about a cup, then let excess drip off!   Lay down tracing paper....and there you have it, put paint out on tray, and i can use this palette for a few days.   i sometimes put a tray on top when i'm finished for the day!

Had an interesting morning, spent a few hours helping a friend move....it was pretty shocking to see how much 'stuff' a couple of folks can hold onto.   One of the reasons for the move is that the mother of the friend has had to go into a facility.....she's in her 70's, and it got me thinking about what i might end up leaving for my daughter's to deal with!   I'm gonna keep this in mind over the next few years, and try my best to get rid of stuff i actually don't need.   Not that i'm planning to die soon or that i'm sick, but it just made me realise what a huge job it is dealing with what a parent leaves behind!

Had a lovely little chat with our new neighbors, Patrizia and Linus...the couple who have immigrated from Germany...so nice to just bump into them at the co-op!

Just for Linus:  hope there is enough slang here to help you with your English!!!
