Tiny Reindeer

Sophie only woke us up at half past six this morning; it (almost) felt like a lie in!

After breakfast she helped Grandma make the Christmas cake, while I stacked away the latest delivery from the log fairy, who seemed to have visited before it was light.

Kate came to collect Sophie mid-morning and they stayed for lunch before heading off for pre-Christmas drinks at a friend's.

This afternoon saw the red cabbage cooked and the last presents wrapped while I listened to Yeovil stage a dramatic comeback from 2-0 down away at AFC Fylde with two goals in the last ten minutes. The draw took us up to 2nd in the table.

Off to our friends Tony & Rosie tonight for a pre-Christmas meal.

Another decoration blip: the tiny reindeer was given to us a few weeks back by an elderly couple who asked us to help load the husband's mobility scooter into the back of their van. The husband insisted we take one of these mini reindeer which he apparently carves himself. He obviously keeps a supply in the car to give to people he asks for help as the scooter was clearly too heavy for them to lift given their age and his disabilities.
