Crossing again

A reasonable drive down south - what a difference it makes when there are so few lorries.

We always use the A1 to the M25 route and over the last couple of years have had to drive through lengthy roadworks in Cambridgeshire, as the A14 has been undergoing huge improvements. We were surprised today when we were suddenly taken onto a new road - it has all been finished, or at least the bit we use has. Of course our SatNav doesn’t know about the new road so the map (see extra) shows us driving across fields. We wouldn’t have got far if that had really been the case as the fields around there are full of water after all the rain.
