Sunshine after the flood

This is the Stowe Valley, the one remaining piece of relatively unspoiled land in Southam. The recent rain flooded the valley as it often does, and the river (usually barely ankle-deep) was probably up to my chest when this was taken. You can see from the grass flattened to the side that the flood is waning, so it must have been a lot higher. Anyway, it was good to see some sunshine - it has felt like we are living in a sepia-toned version of reality recently (and that's just the weather!).
