Winter foliage

A difficult day for landscape photography so decided to entice the birds to the back garden with a view to using a tripod to capture the starlings in their frenzied feeding, a blackbird or two, a robin or chaffinch. However, the battery in the Panasonic was flat so I wondered what I could do with my wife's litte compact Samsung.

My wife has planted out winter bedding and with the weathered and coloured pots and the bayleaf foliage I thought about a composition based around the view just outside the window.

So, a simple shot but one that made me look at a different scale. Hope you like it.
