Ian Cutler; fiddler extraordinaire....

Went to see the Bully Wee Band tonight at the Brook Theatre in Chatham. Check out their link if you like this sort of stuff. The band formed in the 1970s and reformed in 2004. They perform an eclectic variety of music from their own compositions to their interpretations of songs from other performers. Get to see them if they are anywhere near you.

Ian is part of the Hot Rats, a folk rock band who played at our wedding in 2002 and also part of Feast of Fiddles which is also worth going to if you can get to a show. Seven of the best fiddlers in the UK accompanied by a groups of talented musicians led by Hugh Crabtree and accompanied by that well known drummer Dave Mattacks.

In his youth Ian played the fiddle in that well known film "The Wickerman" sitting in the bar of the pub I believe - having only seen a clip, not the whole film. He really is a fiddler extraordinaire, demostrated ably when the band continues to up the tempo but still Ian can play all the notes and also in the right order.

Earlier in the day, after a swim, I layed the foundation slabs for our shed, now all that remains is to erect the thing and we shall be in possession of the allotmenteers heaven - the shed.

Good progress to at physio, it may be that I don't need surgery after all. The work I've been doing on the knee, plus the work at the hospital may give the knee sufficient strength to be OK without any intervention.
