Tiny Tasty Treats

Our friend Wally called in today with a box of my favourite chocolates.
They look great on the Christmas table but I've made sure I had one before the grandchildren arrive.

Julia has been an enormous help today, meaning I might get to bed before 1am.
We have most things ready to go for tomorrow with the whole family.
It will be church, traditional Christmas dinner here, then to the farm for presents and a couple of days.

That's fires permitting of course but there is some good news. Incredibly NO houses were lost in Blackheath or Mt Victoria although, as trisharooni recounts, the fires came right up to some of them.
The fire in the Megalong Valley is pretty well declared out but there is still a bigger one further south which will probably make its way into the valley over the next days or weeks.
However they are working hard on constructing containment lines in the hope of preventing it, as they are also doing on the whole northern flank of the mountain villages against the Grose Valley fire to the north. It has the impressive title of "The Northern Strategic Line".

It will be lovely to have a few days respite to enjoy Christmas.
Very best wishes to Blippers everywhere.
