Magpies feeding in other back gardens

Peering out of the rear window into the gloom brought me few notable images. The magpies were squabbling in a neighbour's back garden a few doors down the road. I was interested to see one of the magpies trying hard to stand on the bird feeder to grab food from the small receptacle, while being watched by it's compatriots.

As soon as I took my first picture the magpie not surprisingly flew away as it is hard for them to perch like smaller birds. Seeing the next picture which has revealed some of the beautiful blue feathers made me choose this as a blip.
