Baubles

Just the standard emergency Christmas blip. Trouble-free flight to Nottingham yesterday, and then a very brief meeting with all of my sisters; we were actually only all there for about ten minutes before N had to go off to catch her train. We had time for a cup of tea though, and then everyone headed off to their various destinations.

We were wimps and decided not to try driving up north in the dark after a long day. So it was another night in a dull hotel, Premier Inn this time. We hoped to dine at the Indian restaurant we liked so much last time, but they didn't have any tables till 9. Although our Spanish personas find this completely normal, our English personas hadn't had lunch and couldn't wait that long. After a couple more attempts to find somewhere interesting we ended up in the Beefeater next door. Which was acceptable at least, and a bit more atmospheric than last night's airport hotel.

Today a short easy drive to S's mum where we are now all assembled (S's side of the family that is). Have a lovely Christmas or indeed holiday of whatever kind you celebrate, blipmates!
