Light in the darkness

Fled to the forest for the evening walk on a miserable windy day.

The photo is of friend's therapeutic horse riding ranch, the "Nicolinenhof" which specialises in Hippotherapy - those with problems of the central nervous and musculoskeletal systems.

Having walked through the forest and come out the other side closer to the village, met an elderly gentleman in a wheelchair doing his daily 2km "walk". On bad weather days, he does his "rounds" in the farmyard, knowing exactly how many he needs to clock up his target. Very pleasant chat, mainly about hunters, past and present, who we both know.

Like our place, this remote house is one of the 40 or so in the parish waiting to be kitted out with hi-speed fibre internet.
