4.00 pm on a gloomy day.

This morning I walked up to my lovely hairdressing salon, about 15-20 minutes away depending on my speed!
So good to be out and about feeling normal. I had a trim and blow dry before I joined hubby in Sainsbury’s for some bits and pieces ahead of the family coming up for the day from Bristol. First time in 2 years they’ve attempted the journey there and back, without staying for a few days.
It would have been too much for me with all the extra beds to sort, food and etc’s. this time.
Really looking forward to seeing them all and the grandchildren are all very excited! They were counting down the days when we had a FaceTime on Christmas Day.
Three bottles of fizzy pop! Plus their 9 month old sister.
This afternoon necessitated a trip to a local Superstore for a high chair.
We offloaded the previous one a couple of years back, not one of us nor them, thinking there would be another little one arrive!
It is her very first visit here.
So special.
I took the photo as we were driving home in the gloomy mist, at 4.00pm on a day when it never really got fully light and the surrounding countryside was shrouded in eerie mist. You can see the rookery colony in the trees on the left. They are beginning to check it out occasionally.
Now settling down to a relaxing evening with scented candles already lit, and some downloaded tv programmes.
Plus a glass of Prosecco!
