Winter walk. December 27th 2020.

A lovely bright blue clear sky greeted us this morning, after gale force winds and rain yesterday evening and during the earlier part of the night.
It seemed to have blown itself out here at least.
We went for a long walk with one of our friends, Karen, this morning as it is the only way we are able to meet up with anyone at the moment.
It was wonderful being outside in the fresh air with the sun actually feeling warm on our faces in sheltered spots.
We walked for about an hour and forty minutes. I took lots of photos.
So much less crowded on these field paths than Sutton Park can be at times.
As we were nearing the main road an electronic road sign was lit up with the words
“ Do not visit in other households”.
What a comment on our times.
We cannot mix indoors with anyone ( unless in a bubble) and outside just with up to 6 other people from different households! You can’t make it up! This is Tier 3 restrictions.
We intend to arrange more walks with special friends as it is the only way we can see them to talk to (other than social media).
We then went our separate ways and came home to have some leftovers and salad from our Christmas dinner of yesterday. Topped off with the rest of the Christmas pudding and cream.
The forecast is for snow, maybe, tomorrow. But they were wrong about today, thankfully!, so we’ll see.
