Ushuaia

We flew from Buenos Aires today to Ushuaia.  A flight of around 3 hours as Ushuaia is "Fin del Mundo" (the end of the world).  Our hotel was high on the hill and this is the view from the terrace of the town below.  On the far left is the port where the ships leave from going to  and from Antarctica.  ON the middle and right is the old and new airfields.  The old one was oriented North to South and was reputed to be the most dangerous in the world with the prevailing winds being West to South West.  The new one orients more East to West.   At the back of it all is the Beagle channel.  Named after Charles Darwin's Beagle.

We didn't do much today other than relax and recover from jetlag.
