Harlaw Reservoir and the Pentlands

A family day with the Scottish branch - who form the majority of Susan’s family with the exception of her mum and my two boys and their children.

Little Oran was in fine form and two other great nieces came over with their parents to see us and especially the Dowager (Great) Granny Doreen.

We exchanged presents between the various families. I was the proud recipient of two bottles of scotch and the Ukulele For Dummies book. We also received a joint present of various Scottish produce; beer, chutney, oatcakes and the like.

We’re looking forward to some tasting later this evening which is why I’m posting today’s blip early. I might not do much commenting later!

Thank you for all your kind concern about our safe journey from Kent to Edinburgh yesterday. We are always thankful to complete the trek safely.

A much shorter journey today, a 5 mile walk up to and around the two reservoirs of Threipmuir and Harlaw beneath the Pentland Hills. It was along this walk that today’s blip was taken.
