Cenote Santa Rosa

Our last day in Mérida was spent in search of the perfect cenote, a subterranean hole filled with water. We delayed our search a bit to visit the "yellow town" of Izamal, but the real mission was to see, and swim in, the cenotes of Homún. The internet told us there were over a dozen cenotes in and around this small town an hour from Mérida. We ended up sampling four different ones, some totally enclosed like Santa Rosa, some open to the sky. An awesome way to spend our final day in the Yucatán because tomorrow it will be all about hanging out at airports!
