two weeks in and we're both still alive!

I adopted a cat about two weeks ago. Her name is Tabitha, but it looks like I'll be calling her Tabby or sweetie. I'm a first-time cat mama and find myself more stressed than relaxed over my new feline friend. Overall I do think that things are going well -- I just need to relax a bit (as she is doing right now : ) 

She spent about 20 minutes curled up on me this evening : ) I absolutely love when she does that. However, it doesn't always end well, as she sometimes ends up nipping my skin. Fortunately she didn't nip me this evening, but instead was drawn away by a noise she just had to investigate!

As you can see, she likes to strike a pose for the big screen : )
