another perspective needed

I had a very good and productive day at work, which feels quite good.

I'll soon be heading home where I'll be dealing with the antics of my newly adopted cat. I have adored her from the moment I met her. However, over the past few days she has been stressing me out, as she keeps jumping up on my kitchen counters. I have heard that cats do not like aluminum foil, so I'm going to see about putting some of it on the counters and see if that causes any changes in her behavior. If you have other ideas as to how I can encourage my cat to not jump on the kitchen counters, I'd greatly appreciate hearing from you : ) Thank you!
