Eerie Mist

A lot of rain fell overnight leading to a thick fog by morning. Although I took some early shots of the lake, I preferred this one from later in the day. By this time the fog had lifted, leaving a light mist swirling along the inlet. I watched shapes reveal themselves as the intensity ebbed and flowed. It was very still and quiet.

I liked this shot of the fallen tree with the mist rolling in behind it masking out the clutter in the background. I debated whether to process the image with a dark moody feeling, eventually settling on something more high key.
