We Can Stay!!

It's official! We can stay! I so desperately wanted to tell you all yesterday but really wanted a bear blip to accompany the wonderful news. We are all jumping for joy and and so utterly and completely relieved. We took on the Ministery of Defence (and Mr Tien) - and we WON!!

I want to thank each and every one of you who signed the petition, emailed or sent letters to the PM, and shared the news of our eviction far and wide. We couldn't have done it without you! This is such a fine example of 'people power' can acheive. Being allowed to stay means our 104 bears can remain in their happy homes (just check out how happy Lotus is!), 77 local employees will keep their jobs AND we can also continue to expand as per our original plans which means more bear rescues and continuing to help put an end to bear bile farming in Vietnam for good!
