The end of a Decade

The last day of 2019 saw us celebrating with various friends, most of which was totally unplanned. We’d booked a table at Ros Thai in Rottingdean with Anne and Simon, and then Chris and Tony invited us round for the evening with some of their other friends.

As we already had plans we said we’d pop over for an hour early on and I drove and took a bottle of my non alcoholic fizz. I took my selfie stick in the hope of getting a photo of the four of us, but Tony didn’t want to be on the photo and said he’d take one of us with Chris and their friend Dillon who was already there - of course Rusty and Buddy had to be included :-)

We went home for an hour and then caught the bus into Rottingdean to meet Anne and Simon at 8pm. The restaurant was full but the service and food was excellent as usual and the nice thing is that it’s just the normal menu, they don’t charge extra because it’s New Years Eve.

After the meal, Simon and Anne were going to Simon’s daughter’s and they dropped us off in Saltdean so we could go to Whitecliffs Cafe for a drink. They too were just open as a ‘normal’ night and not charging an entry fee which most places do. Sandra and Lu came to meet us there for an hour as Sandra’s mum was babysitting, and then we went back to there’s to let the new year in.

So it was a fun and varied night with friends, I hope you had a good one however you celebrated and I hope 2020 will be a happy and healthy year for you all x
