In the shade, it didn't get above freezing and at the 16:00 afternoon walk, it was -3°C.

Chickens have been allowed out again after being confined to barracks for the Christmas week and the loss of two colleagues to a fox.

I suspect after New Year's Eve fireworks, it will be a while before they come near any houses again.
